Grasso’s Technology Fair a Big Success
Grasso Tech students display their innovative green projects at Grasso’s Technology Fair
In May, 60 Grasso Tech students showcased their innovative, environmentally friendly projects in the Big Green Battle contest. The event was a special initiative of UConn Engineeering’s NSF-funded GK-12 program. Winning projects included a compost water-heating system, plastic sandbox converted into a mini-greenhouse, and heat transfer from sewage plant effluent project. Attendees included former US Rep. Rob Simmons, State Sen. Andy Maynard, and State Rep. Elissa Wright.
