news story photoAs part of an ongoing commitment to providing leadership in education, research, and innovation of clean and efficient energy systems, the Center for Clean Energy Engineering (C2E2) is pleased to highlight its sponsorship and participation in the Eighth International Fuel Cell Science, Engineering & Technology Conference hosted by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. This year’s conference will take place from June 14 — 16, 2010 at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn, NY.

The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers, manufacturers, educators, and business investors of both high- and low-temperature fuel cell technologies from around the globe to discuss developments, opportunities and barriers in the field. Approximately 270 presentations are scheduled for this year’s event, including seven plenary talks and 19 keynote presentations.

Among the executive committee members organizing the conference are C2E2 Director Prabhakar Singh, who serves as Technical Chair, and Associate Directors Patricia Bergman and Prof. Wilson Chiu, both of whom serve as Conference Co-Chairs. In addition, several faculty members and students from the University of Connecticut are scheduled to present technical papers with topical areas related to fuel cell systems and operations, advanced cell and stack component materials, strategic implementation, and fundamental electrochemistry. Submitted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
