UConn Professor Maria Chrysochoou Discusses Brownfield Site Rehabilitation

UConn Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering Maria Chrysochoou discusses how UConn engineering students can help rehabilitate brownfield sites. Brownfield sites are former industrial or commercial sites that may or may not have been affected by hazardous waste or pollution. That potential waste can make finding a new use for a site difficult. UConn engineering  students, as part of their Senior Design Project, can help identify pollution, design cleanup, or plan how to use a site for redevelopment.
